Geilo Fjellandsby is an exclusive cabin area with ski in/ski out. Here there are great groomed hiking trails with many opportunities and miles of cross-country skiing trails.

Kikutheisen is located in the immediate vicinity of a child- and family-friendly ski area, a fantastic area where you can teach your children to ski, here are ski lifts and a separate toboggan run. In the middle of this area is also the new Kikut Bistro where you can enjoy real homemade food, and with a short lift ride you can visit Kikuttoppen Vinbar where they offer various wines from all over the world with a fantastic view of Hallingskarvet, Hardangervidda and the surrounding mountains. From Kikuttoppen you are also led on to the trail network in Vestlia.
 
The mountain town of Geilo is one of Norway's most complete travel and ski destinations.
For the last six years, Geilo has been named «Norway’s Best Ski Resort» by the World Ski Awards.
 
As a natural gateway to the mighty Hallingskarvet and Northern Europe's largest high mountain plateau, Hardangervidda, the Geilo National Park village is located at about 794 m above sea level. Geilo is the largest settlement in Hol municipality, and is home to about half of the municipality's 4,500 inhabitants. Geilo was designated a national park village in 2008, and is one of five settlements in Norway that can boast this title.  
 
In the center of Geilo you will find a wide selection of restaurants, services and shopping. Everything is centrally located with a short distance to Geilo's other offerings. Geilo center has undergone major development recently and has almost become one of the country's most beautiful centers.  
 
Geilo and Hol municipality offer a cross-country skiing paradise. With over 500 km of paved and well-groomed cross-country skiing trails, you can choose between beautiful high mountain trails or cozy trails in sheltered forest terrain. Feel free to stop by one of the pleasant restaurants, of which there are several, some of which are also open in the summer.   
 
Here, too, the perfect conditions are provided for both alpinists, jib skiers, and snowboard enthusiasts. A total of 21 lifts and 45 runs are offered on two sides of the center. The slopes are suitable for the whole family - whether you are a beginner or an expert. There is also the possibility of evening skiing two days a week. Geilo ski lifts have a very good service offering, including ski cafes, ski rentals, a ski school and a ski shop. In Trollklubben, there is the possibility of childcare for the little ones. In Geilo, you will find real skiing fun where children are also in focus.  
 
There are ski buses in shuttle traffic during the lifts' opening hours. These ensure quick and easy travel between the valley sides during the day, the ski bus also stops in the city center - see the timetable and stops at skigeilo.no
 
In the summer, there are also many opportunities in beautiful natural surroundings, here there are endless hiking opportunities whether you want to go for a short trip with the children or want to embark on a week-long trip in fantastic mountain terrain. For those who like to take a bike ride, you can choose everything from a leisurely bike ride on a gravel road, float trails - lift-based cycling, a longer trip on e.g. Rallarvegen or downhill cycling for those who want more speed.
There are opportunities for fishing in one of the many mountain lakes, horse riding and visiting stables, taking a summer lift, frisbee golf, or you can test your climbing skills in the Høyt og lavt climbing park.
 
A short drive from Geilo you will find one of Europe's best rafting rivers in Dagali. Here you can throw yourself into wild rapids, or take a leisurely trip for the whole family.
